I worked closely with Gerhard Design Group to create large stylized leaf forms. In this collaboration, the client designed a repetitive pattern in Italian mosaic glass. The leaves matched the interior 8'x8' round walls perfecting a color scheme with marble, accessories and designer rug. The veins were done in bas-relief with attention to a satin and gloss finish. A project of this size takes a minimum of six months.

Many of my large commissions involve architectural installations, such as kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, fountains, as well as large murals. Often, in commissioned work, I enjoy the challenge of involving my clients in the design process. Here are some examples of recent installations in homes and businesses. In most of these works, the designer or client was involved throughout the process, fine tuning colors and design elements.

I was given some antique trays the owner purchased at the Paris Flea Market which I incorporated into a larger countryside panorama. The colors in my tiles matched the stained glass in the bay window. I also hand-painted individual tiles with rabbits, pigs, ducks and geese to compliment the mural. These were interspersed in the countertop.

This pair of bas-relief fish frame the front entrance to a modern home. I created two circular works on both sides of a nautical gate. Playful and bright, they give warmth and color to a clean and simple contemporary scene.

This arched mural was installed in the estate of inveterate art collectors. A climbing red, pink and green bougainvillaea vine frame a still life of a basket of fruit and large Mexican pot. The 5' x 8' mural fills the entire back of the stove alcove in the kitchen of their estate.
